Ways to Save Planet Earth

rahiman : July 13, 2013 8:21 am : Recent

Here are some important ways to save planet earth from dangers:

1. Don’t throw your clothes away.
If the clothes are not still good, then give them to needy and poor people, or sell them to old shops. But do not throw them away.

2. Recycle the motor oil.
People use billions of Gallons of motor oil every year, whereas, nearly 350 million of gallons reaches in the atmosphere. This Motor oil can leak down into the ground Water supply lines. So before changing motor oil, take it to the gas station
That could recycle the oil.

3. Don’t put grease, pesticides, oil, antifreeze, and paints and other lethal domestic items down the pipelines or gutters because, these products reach finally into the rivers and oceans.

4. Avoid using the plastic shopping bags.
Do not Use the Plastic bags that can’t be recyclable, because they do not decay completely.
On the other hand the Paper bags are recyclable. Prefer paper bags instead of plastic bags.

5. Buy the products that can be recycled.

Such products help to preserve the natural resources and protecting the planet earth.

6. Buy the products free of CFC.

Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) is very dangerous and can destroy the ozone layer, which gives cover to human beings from damaging UV rays. That could cause skin cancer and weaken immune system.
7. Purchase long-lasting products.
Buy the products, which are durable than disposables. For instance use metal razors
Than the disposable razors, That is to say Use the items that can be restored.

8. Make use of silver and metal dishes instead of the plastic or paper.
It would help to save planet earth and also save money.

9. Use the batteries that can be recharged.

The Batteries have heavy metals like Cadmium and mercury that is the main reason of pollution in the dumping areas. The heavy metals released in the air and pollute the environment.

A cynic’s view of climate change

A cynic’s view of climate change

The fact is human activities are affecting the earth in numerous ways, many of which are positive and essential to the survival of the human species as we know it. However some the vital means of our survival are degrading the earth, making it hazardous for not only humans but also all the other species earth. Species of animals as well as plants have become extinct due to encroachment on their habitats. Others like the polar bears and the pandas are holding on to their dear existence as our activities slowly but surely degrade the earth. The ice caps at the poles are melting, forests are being destroyed and animals are being hunted to extinction. The situation is so bleak that one would not be wrong to say that our own greed is going to lead to our extinction.

However are we simply over reacting or is what is happening simply the norm of life on the universe, survival for the fittest. History shows that the earth has had higher temperatures than it has right now and species have become extinct long before even humans came into existence. Case in point are the dinosaurs, a meteorite that hit the earth millions of years ago resulted in change of its climate thus their extinction. More so, incoming data shows that the melting of the ice at the polls is not only going to expose more minerals but also ease transport between North America, Russia and Europe. On top of that, it will create more land for cultivation in some areas plus change of seasons. With the increasing world population, the need for energy has never been so dire to ensure proper functioning societies, which makes it unrealistic to reduce energy consumption.

Considering the above, is the fight against climate change worth the attention it’s receiving? Do we have what it takes to make a long lasting impact on the temperatures of our globe? That is an analysis for another time, for now let us chew on the above-mentioned facts. Note that, regardless of what happens, the earth always takes care of itself regardless of how that affects its inhabitants.

The Far Reaching Impacts of Climate Change

rahiman : May 12, 2013 12:28 am : Recent

It has now become a common scenario for people to complain about the issue of climate change. Many companies and governments have now set aside special funds to be able to cater for the issue of this change. This wave of pro-action has emerged out of a situation where the human race has been involved in destroying the world by creating the most unsuitable conditions that have resulted in changes in the climate of the world. While in the past the weather conditions and climatic conditions were understandable and within limits, today, there are several extreme conditions that occur. These have led to loss of lives, property and livelihood.
The issue of climate change is an issue that has attracted plenty of attention because of the far reaching effects of the acts that human beings are engaged in today. The effects of these acts are far reaching and as much as they may seem insignificant, they are actually quite pivotal in the changes that happen over time. The changes that are happening today are not happening because of the activities of today but rather because of the activities of the past. This means that the activities of today are more likely to cause a change in the climatic conditions of the future.
Today’s climate is very uncomfortable and is continuously tending towards being totally unpredictable because of the various changes that the world has been subjected to. The little things that we as human beings do without regard for the climate are actually the things that build up into huge effects on the climate thus we end up experiencing substantial climate change over time. The various changes that are taking place today can however be reversed if the entire human race becomes a part of the drive to make the earth a better place for the future. If each person makes an effort to make the earth cleaner, safer and more reliable, there is a chance that there will be a better home for the people of the future.

Climate change: Questions to be answered

rahiman : May 1, 2013 7:49 pm : Recent

Over the past 10 years, there has been more and more talk about the earths climate change. Kids are taught about it in school, we hear about it on the radio, we see images of the devastating effects on the news and many have experienced it first hand. But what really is climate change? How is it happening, where is it happening, what are the effects? And the most commonly asked question; how do we save planet Earth?

Climate change is defined as the change of weather patterns and seasons over a certain period of time. These changes are long lasting and can be permanent. Unfortunately the majority of the earths climate change is caused by man-made activities. These activities involve generating or creating greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gas production is simply created by driving a car, using a computer, running a factory or burning waste.

The devastating effects of climate change have been shown all over the world in recent years. These include the melting of the polar ice caps, destroyed soil that affects agriculture and the endangerment of animals. Animals that are now endangered because of climate change include salmon, the beluga whale and the emperor penguin. Some of the countries that are badly affected by climate change in recent years are Bangladesh, Burma, Vietnam and India.

Due to seeing the effects that climate change has on the Earth through the news and media, the question that is being asked is ‘How do we save planet Earth?’.Unfortunately this is an almost impossible to answer because of the damage that has already been done to the Earth. However there are still some things everyone can do to try and begin to save planet Earth. These include the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Small changes to lifestyle can also be a help, like cycling or walking to school or work and turning off all electricity when it is not in use. We face a massive challenge, but hope has not been lost yet, and there is still a chance to save planet Earth.

Climate Change – A Time Bomb

rahiman : April 15, 2013 8:21 am : Recent

By definition, climate change is a long and lasting change in the weather patterns over a period of time; mostly decades. The change could relate to a general change in the average weather conditions but it could also relate to the changes in the distribution of weather. In the world of today, we are experiencing plenty of weather changes and some of these are rather extreme. It would be simple to pass this off as ordinary but over the decades, the changes have grown from minor to major. This is they there is increased attention being drawn to this subject.
Climate change is one of those aspects of the world that is not affected right away. Something that you do today may not affect the climate immediately or even a few years later. However if you do it consistently over a period of time, there are chances that you will notice substantial differences in the weather. Most times, these changes are experienced when there has been critical observation and analysis of the weather patterns. Scientists are generally on cue to try and study these changes so they can make predictions about what the climate might be like in the future. They usually rely on theoretical models as well as observations to come to these conclusions. Some of the processes they use to ascertain these changes include ice cores, stable isotope, glacial and periglacial processes, floral and faunal records as well as borehole temperature profiles.
To put the discussion on climate change in perspective, one ought to know that the energy that comes from the sun and the energy that is lost to space from earth create the equilibrium temperature that should exist on earth. This energy is carried around by the globe winds and the various ocean currents. There are internal forcing mechanisms as well as external forcing mechanisms that are responsible for the changes in the climate over a long period of time.

Understanding the idea of Climate Change

rahiman : April 4, 2013 6:09 pm : Recent

Several years ago, the issue of climate change was not a big deal and was only being talked about as a distant and almost unrealistic threat. Today, everywhere you go, there are cries for people to respect and observe climatic respect. While human beings are the most destructive beings to the climate, they are also the ones who usually benefit most from the climate that they are so intent on destroying. When a man thinks that he can destroy the environment because he will not be around fifty or a hundred years from now to suffer the repercussions, he is simply being short sighted. The current climatic change we are experiencing is not so much about what we are doing right now but what we did in the past. Therefore it makes sense to accept the fact that even though you may not be around in the future, you need to leave a neat, tidy and healthy world for those who will still be in it.
Climate change is a significant and very substantial alteration in the patterns of weather across a period of time that usually stretches even over very many millions of years. There are so many reasons why climate change is actually taking place and some of the changes can be attributed to volcanic eruptions, biotic processes, plate tectonics as well as various oceanic processes. One of the most detrimental causes of this chance is the human element. Human beings are responsible for the greatest impact especially through global warming.
Every day that passes, scientists are busy trying to understand the past, link it with the present to foretell future climatic conditions. Projections and expectations can be arrived at after some important information has been compiled pertaining to the changes that take place with the climate. Some of the various ways in which these changes can be proven include pollen analysis, sea level changes, vegetation, precipitation, historical and archeological evidence, animals, dendroclimatology, temperature measurements and proxies, ice cores as well as the arctic sea loss.

Climate change: Cause and Effects

rahiman : March 9, 2013 3:44 am : Recent

Have you ever thought of the abrupt climatic changes that are taking place all around the globe? Actually these are some of the changes that are caused by the modifications in the earth atmosphere. Scientists are predicting some of the worse incidents in the coming years. The average rainfall, flooding period and wind blow rates have drastically changed mainly due to these modifications. No one knows that what will be the possible picture of climate in the coming years. Is there any synchronization between different human activities and these changes? This article will highlight some of the reasons of climate change and the possible outcomes of these changes.
Globalization has given rise to unexpected rise in human population. To cope with such a large population, industrialization increased at a very drastic pace. The transport sector also improved to give facilities to people inhabiting in this planet. With the increase in these unnatural activities, there increased the concentration of green house gases in the environment. This increase led towards the imbalance and disturbance of natural cycle or climate change. It is a fact that green house gases increase the temperature of earth and trap the heat emitted by the solar radiations. This heat is consequently involved in increasing the temperature of earth.
There is a definite need to address these climatic issues as man stands on the top of the food chain. It is therefore necessary for him to control these changes that are induced by the industrialization and rapid colonization. Scientists are now conducting researches to minimize the direct anthropogenic effects on environment. Meanwhile it is a community responsibility to participate in those campaigns that are derived to decrease the environmental pollution. If climate change continued to increase then the time is near when the human population will be on the verge of the final catastrophe.

Climatic Change – Not Just A Matter Of Polar Bears

rahiman : February 17, 2013 11:13 am : Recent

Across the world, climate change is one of the most debated topics these days. In different countries and at different platforms, scientists are presenting their reasoning and predictions about the rapid and drastic changes seen in the overall climate of the world. To understand it in the simplest terms, climate change is actually an average change in the overall behavior of the climate. For example, a look into the climatic patterns of rainfall, day length, temperature increase and other factors reveal that the rainfalls have become very unpredictable, temperature is rising at an abnormal pace and similar is the case with other characters of the climate. Now, this climate change is not just a matter of how polar bears get affected by this, it is a whole lot of a phenomenon which impacts all our life activities.
One of the biggest impacts of climate change has been on the food production capacity of the agricultural countries. Due to an increase in the temperature, there are some countries today where it has become impossible to grow certain crops (crops which need milder temperature range). Similarly, the quality of fruit and certain cereal crops has declined due to high temperature during their growing season. Similarly, the forests have also encountered a stress due to a sudden change in the temperature of the world. Trees are slow in responding to the environmental change and a sudden change leaves them with no option of adapting or shifting towards better ranges. Consequently, the tree species are getting extinct now which is creating a massive loophole in the food chain of out ecosystem. Seas and oceans have also been greatly affected by climatic change and the overall scenario seems alarming. There is an urgent need to address this issue with proper planning and wise strategies in all countries of the world.

On Saving Planet Earth

rahiman : January 17, 2013 4:22 pm : Recent

Environmental pollution is increasing day by day and there is an over increasing trend in global warming and all the issues that are related with this environmental change. The green house gases are damaging the ozone layer and there is much harm that is posed by these toxic gases in the environment. Carbon dioxide is increasing in the environment and there is development of cloud in the upper troposphere. This is damaging the ozone layer and the harmful radiations of the sun are entering the earth atmosphere. Attempts are made to save planet earth as there is a great need to address all these issues.

There are many theories that are relating to the saving of this planet. There are three objectives of this movement. The first and the foremost advantage of this theory are to establish a relation between the environment and the new generation. The second part of the theory covers the various aspects of the daily life. The daily activities of every person must be synchronized with the environmental changes. Everyone is adding a lot to this environmental pollution and there is a great success in the changing environment.

The main motive of this movement is to initiate the cause that every individual is responsible for inducing change in the environment. It is very important to save planet earth for the purpose of giving hope to the next generation. There has been a very good hope for the near future and the day is near when there will be less pollution and less toxic effects in the environment. Hence it can be concluded that every second there has been an increase in pollution but an over increasing change can bring worse results. Hence it can be deduced that there is a need to decrease this mode of pollution.

A Look Into Global Climate Change…

rahiman : January 8, 2013 10:53 pm : Recent

Climate change is a significant phenomenon which covers almost every aspect of our life. This change started million years ago but has started showing significant effects from last couple of decades. It is basically a change in average weather conditions of the world. These changes include change in temperature, rainfall, humidity, flow of water in streams, lakes, rivers and oceans etc. Humans are also contributing to bring this change on earth. As natural resources are present in a balanced condition and should be used precisely for their long term use. But humans use these rapidly and disturb the ecosystem. Its include deforestation, use of agriculture lands for industrialization and emission of more carbon dioxide and other gases from industries and mills. These all become causes of high temperature of earth and cause global warming. Any disturbance to this biological based ecosystem will results problems for us. Glaciers are most important indicators of climate change and affect by this warm temperature, this causes melting of this important resource and alarming the situation. It can cause floods in different areas first and later shortage of water resources in future. Due to change of life styles and starting of different projects of manufacturing of goods caused the pollution on this planet. These include water, air and soil pollutions. Climate change affects plant and animal life also on this planet. Researchers are now working to know about the positive and negative effects of climate change. How these can be used for the betterment of society are also the keen interests of scientists belonging to different fields of sciences like environmental science, water resource management, forestry, agriculture and many physical and biologically based sciences. Scientists are also predicting that more carbon dioxide and increase temperature can be good for plant growth and production of more flowers and fruits of crops in some cold areas of the world. Different institutes and universities in the world are conducting research and degree programs to produce best human resource in this regard. Now it is our duty that we have to use all natural resources wisely and in a sustainable manner. These will give satisfactory results and increase the efficiency of our beloved resources. Then these will remain save for coming generations and ecosystem will remain balance and good.

Project Save Planet Earth..

rahiman : December 15, 2012 2:50 pm : Recent

For a very long time, questions have been asked about whether mother Earth is able to sustain the entire livelihood which instead is keen on destroying her very essence. With the recent drive to improve the status of the Earth in terms of preserving and conserving its wellbeing, many people and corporations have joined in and stood for the cause. With the worsening trends of climatic change, it goes without saying that every human being should be a part of Project Save Planet Earth.

There are several companies and countries that have been spotted as dangerous stakeholders in the Project Save Planet Earth. These have been known to be pollutants and causes of degradation of Earth. Bearing in mind the fact that there is only one Earth and the better we looked after it, the better our chances of enjoying it longer, it should be everyone’s aim to stay within the limits of environmental conservation.

It is true that some trends of the recent climatic change are a little out of man’s jurisdiction. However, the vast majority of the climatic change cause factors are a result of man made activities and therefore there is need to curb the rate at which man is misusing the Earth and its resources. Man made activities account for the greatest part of the changes although other factors like volcanic eruptions, ocean currents, orbital changes and solar variations are bound to have some effects on the climate of the Earth.

Overall, Project Save Planet Earth looks to involve everyone in whatever small capacity to be able to have a fundamental impact on improving the status of the Earth in regards to climatic changes. Whether it is by proper disposal, use of environmental friendly raw materials in the production process or having rules and regulations against pollution of the Earth, every person, country and corporation can and must contribute to the fight so as to give mother Earth an extended stay.

Climate change affecting our lives

rahiman : December 5, 2012 6:57 pm : Recent

This is the 21st century, an era of progress, advancement and the utmost echelon of modernization. This has made the human life so convenient but with all these perks comes the pessimistic fact; the immense and drastic change in climate. The harsh climate change is affecting human lives in every possible way. The melting of glaciers, floods, tornadoes, soil erosion are some of the drastic effects of climate change. The question to ponder on is what is the cause of change in climatic conditions? The answer is quite simple; rapid industrialization, deforestation, pollution and increase in population are some of the causes of the change in climate. Forest are innate buffer systems, they keep the climate conditions of a region in a normal and controlled range by balancing them with rain.
Due to the drastic change in climatic conditions, humans are now more than ever prone to cancers, cataracts, eye infections, etc. This is because of the amplified exposure to ultra-violet radiations which in turn is because of light-house effect caused by the deforestation, increased pollution, and use of cfcs and aerosol sprays.
The climate is rapidly changing and we need to strive harder and prompt to stop these climatic changes from affecting us and damaging our beautiful earth. Let’s start changing from individual level and spread this revolution to the national level and create awareness; stop using plastic bags instead use recyclable bags, increase the use of lead free petroleum products, avoid using aerosol sprays, and last but not the least plant more tress to increase the natural buffering capacity.
This earth is our residence and it is our utmost responsibility to take the best possible care of it, let’s take the oath that we’ll protect and nourish our home and will make this earth a heavenly consign and stop the climate change.

The Changing Moods Of Our Climate – Who Is Responsible?

rahiman : November 17, 2012 7:49 pm : Recent

Over the period of time, the change in average climatic conditions has been quite mysterious and alarming in nature. In fact, meteorologists and ecologists have reported the change in climate, especially during the last century, as an alarming phenomenon for the survival of living being on planet earth. There are a number of vital consequences for this rapid change in climate globally. For example, due to highly unpredictable rainfall matters, some very fertile lands are feared to become barren in a few decades. Similarly, due to increased global temperature, the glaciers are seen melting at a much higher rate leading to an increase in the sea level. And the increased seal level of course poses a huge threat to the islands and the cities having sea on one or more of its sides. Besides, the production of agricultural products is thought to be at stake since changes in global temperatures are likely to resist crop production in many of our fertile areas.

Now, scientists have identified some obvious reason for this change in global climate. One reason for this climate change has been the clearing of forest land for the sake of building urban residential areas and agricultural farming. And the need to do so has taken birth due to rapidly increasing population of the world. Of course, for more number of people, we’d need more space and more food to make them able to survive. And due to this rapid elimination of forests (which are considered the regulators of earth’s climate) the issue of adverse climate change has gone from bad to worse. Other reasons for climatic change are all linked with the explosive human population growth and human activities disturbing the natural cycles and phenomenon. On global scale, a huge number of scientific conferences are being held to address the issue and it is expected that a good practical plan will be launched in near future to hold the situation.
